Sulzer (www.sulzer.com) has signed a binding agreement to acquire Transcodent (www.transcodent.de), a provider of multiple-dose and unit-dose application systems, needles, tips and capsules for the dental market.

Based in Kiel (Germany), Transcodent is expected to achieve revenues of 17 million euros in 2017. The company also undertakes the development and manufacture of be-spoke injection-moulded application systems, which are used by dentists in anaesthetics, endo irrigation, prevention and aesthetic restoration.

Transcodent is Sulzer’s fourth applicator systems acquisition in the past 18 months.
