Industrial-automation solutions provider Fanuc UK Ltd, Coventry (www.fanuc.eu) has reported a record month for sales of Roboshot plastic injection moulding machines, with 29 sold in September.

In total, 12 customers in the medical, automotive and packaging industries placed orders for Roboshot machines worth about 3.5 million euros.

These machines can monitor back-flow behaviour through the check valve, allowing end users to receive feedback on potential process variations due to changes in the melt quality; they can also check valve performance.

Fanuc says Roboshots are designed to use 15% less energy than comparable electric machines, and up to 70% less than hydraulic types.

Fanuc UK’s sales and marketing manager, Andrew Armstrong, said: “This record month for Roboshot sales demonstrates the successful growth of Fanuc in the UK and Irish market-places.

“We are now working to build on this growth as we enter Q4 of 2017, and we will continue to develop Fanuc’s electric-machine technology into the number-one choice.”
