Colt International (
www.coltgroup.com), which makes climate control systems, celebrated the opening of its new factory in Havant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the end of September.
The 100 guests included local MP Alan Mak, the Mayor of Havant and representatives from local colleges and businesses.
Since 1963, Colt was based in New Lane, Havant, but it recently opened new sites in Petersfield, Waterlooville and now Kenwood Business Park in Havant.
Managing director Nick Buckingham said: “It was a big decision for us to move our factory operations, but the building we were operating out of had become quite old. As our business is always growing, it seemed like the right time, to keep up with demand.”
“We are an international company, but we are local at heart, with dedicated staff who have worked with us for over 30 years. It was important to us to keep things local for them, so we are very pleased to have acquired this fantastic new space.”
