Brownhills-based engineering group Castings (www
.castings.plc.uk) has announced that the managing director of one of its subsidiaries is stepping down.

Mark Lewis, head of truck and automotive components business CNC Speedwell, will leave the business on 20 October; no reason has been given for his departure.

A brief statement said Castings chief executive Adam Vicary will assume operational responsibility for CNC Speedwell until a permanent replacement is found.

During this time, a full review of the business will be undertaken, and further details will be released when the group announces its interim results on 10 November.

CNC Speedwell was hit by the loss of a major contract in 2016.
