The Shadow Robot Co has won a place at an exhibition of the most game-changing innovations from businesses across the country. It is one of 100 companies nation-wide chosen to exhibit its technology at
Innovate 2017 on
8-9 November at the NEC (
www.shadowrobot.com).
Founded in 1987 by a group of robotics enthusiasts in London, Shadow has evolved into one of the longest-running robotics companies in the UK, developing “hands for robots” and using them to solve real-world problems.
It will be exhibiting an early version of its Smart Grasping System, which is aimed at the manufacturing industry. Currently in development, this will feature built-in intelligence and vision, so one robot will be able to perform the work of many.
Rich Walker, manager director of Shadow Robot Co, said: “We’re over the moon to be selected to demonstrate at
Innovate 2017. This is the second year in a row that we’ve won a place, which is a great compliment, as well as being an indicator that our work is resonating with companies around the world.”
