West Yorkshire-based Rosenbauer UK (
www.rosenbauer.co.uk) is increasing production at its Holmfirth facility after securing contracts for 31 ‘state of the art’ fire-fighting appliances in recent weeks.
Managing director Oliver North said: “At a time when growth is hard in any sector, it really is testament to our excellent team that we’re able to continue our growth and increase production in Holmfirth.”
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service has ordered 15 ‘Compact Line’ fire-fighting trucks, which have 2,000-litre water tanks and the latest crew-cab technology.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has ordered 11 Rosenbauer ATs, of which the first six will go into service in the spring of 2018.
The batch of new orders also includes two from Glasgow and Aberdeen airports for Panther fire-fighting appliances with Stinger high-reach extendable turrets.
This success follows recent orders from Belfast and Shannon airports.
