Coventry-based Fanuc UK Ltd (
www.fanuc.eu) has unveiled its latest industrial robot for industrial washing applications.
The company says that the R-2000iC/210WE can withstand high-pressure loads and forces — and it has a maximum payload of 210kg. Furthermore, the robot’s outer coating and ‘oil-equipped reducers’ prevent corrosion from water, detergent
or mechanical stress (the robot is waterproof to IP67 rating).
Operators can check the status of the robot via a teach pendant and thereby minimise the risk of unexpected down-time or process errors.
The new model is based on the same drives and controls as the entire R-2000iC series; it will initially be targeted at the automotive industry, as well as other sectors with industrial washing requirements.
Fanuc’s R-2000iC/210WE was first revealed at the
EMO 2017 exhibition in Hanover, where it was paired with an LR Mate 200iD/7WP to simulate an industrial washing cell.
The R-2000iC/210WE presented a component to the LR Mate, which used a high-pressure water jet to clean the component at various angles.
