Hyfore launches apprenticeship packsCoventry-based Hyfore (www.hyfore.com), a leading work-holding specialist, has put together an ‘apprentice pack’ that contains all the essential tools and equipment needed by budding engineers.

The firm, which employs 36 people, has used its experience of industry to source eight different items, including a digital caliper, external micrometers, a thickness gauge and a pocket scribe, plus the legendary Zeus booklet, which
contains all the data needed on drill sizes and decimal equivalents, as well as information on popular threads, tapping drills and clearance drills.

Rob Beckett, work-holding product manager at Hyfore, said: “Apprenticeships are very much in the news and there seems to be a renewed desire to grow our own engineers.

"We wanted to do something to support this drive, and we decided to create an Apprentice Pack that would give apprentices all the tools they need. It is available from www.hyfore.shop, and we’ve sold 85 packs in a few weeks.”

Hyfore has become a key partner to manufacturers looking for bespoke jigs, fixtures, gauges and work-holding systems for use on CNC machining centres.

"It has also invested heavily in its standard work-holding offer, and its new Web site provides access to more than 40,000 products.

“This is just the start; we aim to be at about 100,000 products by the end of the year, making it arguably the best-stocked virtual shop in the world.”
