As part of its strategy to cultivate a larger customer base in the UK, Tewkesbury-based Quickgrind (www.quickgrind.com) has appointed Sean Luck and Graeme Hogg as business development managers.

With over 35 years’ experience in manufacturing, Mr Luck brings a wealth of experience to his role. He has spent much of his career in managerial roles with machine tool manufacturers, cultivating relationships with OEMs and sub-contractors.

Likewise, Mr Hogg started his career in the mid-1970s — as a CNC turner/miller. He has worked as a technical sales engineer and more recently in sales management roles in a cutting-tool environment.

Managing director Ross Howell said: “Quickgrind is a unique company in the cutting-tool industry, with almost 80% of our turnover until now generated from overseas sales. We are instigating a paradigm shift in milling technology with our new end mill developments.

"Many of our new products are ideal for the aerospace, motor-sport and power generation segments, which are all enjoying growth in the UK.
