The 3041 Cyber series of three-flute end mills from Tamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (
www.itc-ltd. co.uk) has been expanded with an enhanced selection of corner radii.
Designed for machining aluminium workpieces, the 3041 Cyber centre-cutting end mill is suitable for a multitude of applications from roughing through to finish machining, including plunging, ramping, slotting and pocketing.
Furthermore, the corner radius options for each diameter are suited to five-axis profile machining.
The extended 3041 Cyber series is available in diameters of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20mm, with an overall length from 38 to 100mm and a cutting length from 12 to 40mm, depending on the chosen diameter.
The smallest 3 to 5mm-diameter tools are now available with corner radii of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1mm; these radii help to enhance tool life and longevity by preventing edge chipping.
With radius options proportionate to tool diameter, the 8 and 10mm-diameter end mills include 1.25, 1.5 and 2mm radii, while the 12, 16 and 20mm-diameter tools have been extended to offer 0.25mm radius increments up to 1.5mm, with 0.5mm increments available beyond 1.5mm.
