Following on from successful events at the AMRC in Sheffield, WNT is hosting a further series of Five-Axis Strategy Days in partnership with Open Mind Technologies and XYZ Machine Tools.

The events, taking place on the 5 and 6 December at XYZ Machine Tools Nuneaton showroom, highlight the significant time savings that can be achieved when machining in simultaneous five-axis mode using WNT circular segment cutters in conjunction with Open Mind’s hyperMILL MAXX Machining CAD CAM software.

Each day will consist of two sessions, one starting at 9:00 and a repeat session after lunch at 13:00 and will consist of a theoretical presentation of the major advantages of this milling strategy that can deliver cycle time savings of up to 90 per cent when compared to conventional processes.

Following the presentation visitors will then witness first-hand the combined performance of the WNT circular segment cutters and the Open Mind software, which will be demonstrated on the XYZ UMC-5X five-axis machining centre.

Due to limited space, with only 20 places available for each of the four presentations (morning and afternoon on each day), pre-registration is essential, with places allocated on a first come, first served basis. Registration can be completed at www.wnt.com/uk/wntevents.
