Cannock-based Linecross Composites, which supplies thermo-formed and polyurethane components to clients in the automotive, leisure and speciality industries, has invested in a £1.7 million expansion programme to meet rising demand for its products.
This could lead to the creation of a number of new jobs and a move into new markets.
The business was formed in 2012, when parent company Linecross Ltd bought a competitor — BI Composites — out of administration.
Since then, it has seen a programme of phased investment to support growth, including the purchase of new plant and equipment, plus a re-organisation to provide additional capacity and operational efficiencies (

Its latest purchases are two new injection moulding machines that will enable it to mould large automotive-interior parts.
The ancillary equipment includes a new crane for tool movements, robotic handling systems to remove moulded parts from the machines, and an ultrasonic welding robot to support assembly operations.
