French connection for camper-van firmBristol-based Danbury Motor Caravans, a camper-van conversion company, has been acquired by French motor-home group Pilote for an undisclosed sum.

It has been converting vehicles for more than 15 years and specialises in the conversion of VW vehicles and Ford Transits into motor caravans (www.danburymotorcaravans.com).

Charles Davey, corporate finance partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “I am really pleased to have delivered this transaction for the sellers. They have built an extremely strong brand in Danbury, and now the time is right for new owners to take the business forward.”
