Daventry-based Master Abrasives (www.master-abrasives.co.uk) has been appointed to represent Superfinish Innovation AG (a division of Thielenhaus Technologies GmbH) in the UK and Ireland.

The manufacturer’s super-finishing devices work with tapes or stones and are used for high-precision applications requiring the optimum in part geometry and surface quality.

The super-finishing process is used in automotive, aerospace and other markets to reduce workpiece wear, increase contact area and improve energy efficiency, while offering savings in workpiece material and weight.

Applications engineering manager Ian Meredith says: “As a provider of abrasive solutions, the range of Superfinish Innovation tape finishers fits well into our product portfolio.

“The standard tape finisher model SL50 will be available for demonstration in our grinding and finishing showroom from early 2018; and having recently formed our applications engineering team to provide support on technical products, we would be happy to work with customers to solve their application problems.

“This is a high-quality range of products for an extremely precise process, and we are confident that it will provide a solution to our customers’ super-finishing needs.”
