Alloy Heat Treatment awarded re-accreditation

Alloy Heat Treatment awarded re-accreditationTo demonstrate its continued commitment to quality, Dudley-based Alloy Heat Treatment (www.alloyheat.co.uk), which specialises in alloy and aluminium heat treatment, has announced its success in achieving Nadcap re-
accreditation for heat treatment.

The aim of the Nadcap programme is to assess a company’s process capability for its compliance to industry standards and customer requirements.

It brings together technical experts from both industry and Government to establish requirements for accreditation, accredit suppliers and define operational programme requirements.

This results in a standardised approach to quality assurance; by achieving Nadcap accreditation, Alloy Heat Treatment has demonstrated its compliance.

Quality manager Steve Roberts said: “I’m delighted with the achievement of Nadcap re-accreditation — and to again be awarded ‘merit’ status.

"This means that, instead of having our next Nadcap audit in 12 months, we have been granted an accreditation that lasts until January 2020.”

Joe Pinto, executive vice-president and chief operating officer at the Performance Review Institute, said: “Compliance via Nadcap accreditation is a milestone in demonstrating manufacturing excellence.

By obtaining Nadcap in heat treating, Alloy Heat Treatment has proved to the industry that it is committed to quality
and aerospace safety.”
