AMOB (
www.amobgroup.com), a Portuguese manufacturer of high-precision tube, pipe and profile bending machines, has moved into the UK market.
Established in 1960, the company has a world-wide network of 70 agents, and it has now brought its range of specialised machinery — from simple manual appliances to all-electric CNC machines — to the Pilot Trade Centre in Coventry.
Tom Wood, managing director of AMOB UK, said: “The company wanted to expand into the UK and now seemed like the perfect opportunity. In addition to selling AMOB machinery, we will have a separate company to sell other brands. The hope is that, as the business becomes established, we will create more jobs.”
David Penn, a partner at Bromwich Hardy, which facilitated the move into one of the last remaining units at the Pilot Trade Centre, said: “AMOB is a global brand that is well-known and respected within the manufacturing sector, so we are pleased that they have set up at the site.”
