As of January, over 450 companies had registered to exhibit at 31.BI-MU (
www.bimu.it), which is Italy’s main trade show for the machine tool sector.
It will be held at
Fiera Milano Rho from Tuesday 9 to Saturday 13 October 2018.
The total exhibition area booked to date is three-times larger than that reserved at the same point in the run-up to the last edition of the biennial trade show (2016) — and the average stand area is more than 10% larger.
Some 175 of the companies so far registered are from abroad (they represent 16 countries).
As well as machine tools, metal-forming and cutting machines, automation, robotics, auxiliary technologies, there will be a significant emphasis on digital manufacturing and associated ‘enabling technologies’.
In fact, the core of the new
BI-MU will be “The Digital Era of Machine Tools”.
