The optional FAWJ (Fine Abrasive Water Jet) Micro Head package has been added to the range of standard machines available from Wetherby-based Water Jet Sweden UK.

The FAWJ cutting process can produce ‘incisions’ as narrow as 0.2mm, which compares favourably with traditional water jet systems, where 0.8-1.0mm is typical.

Water Jet Sweden’s FAWJ Micro Head upgrade package can be used on the company’s standard X-series and Premium models, which both offer cutting table sizes from 1 x 1m to 4 x 2m, as well as a CNC system that can provide the motion control required for micro-cutting. (www.waterjetsweden.co.uk)
