Worcester-based vacuum cleaner maker Gtech (
www.gtech.co.uk) plans to create 100 jobs in the UK, as it shifts some of its manufacturing operations from China next year and embarks on a global expansion.
The company plans to move into eight new markets in Asia, the Middle East and Europe over the next 12 months.
Nick Grey, founder and chief executive, said he had made the decision after consumers repeatedly asked why the company did not make its products in the UK.
Gtech was founded in 2001 and has grown into a £121 million business employing 200 people.
