Peterborough-based Measurement Solutions Ltd (www.measurement-solutions.co.uk), the UK partner for Creaform 3D portable metrology and Metrologic Group inspection software, has announced the appointment of Andrew Tagg as its new business development director. He has over 10 years of sales experience in the portable metrology and 3-D scanning sectors.

After starting his career as a design engineer, Mr Tagg moved to Faro Technologies and moved through the ranks to become regional sales manager; after 10 years, he was given additional responsibility for sales in several European territories, including Scandinavia, Benelux and Spain.

In 2015, following a re-structuring of the Faro business, Mr Tagg was promoted to sales director EMEA for 3-D Documentation technologies; the following year he was promoted to global sales director for Faro’s product design sector.

Iain Caville, Measurement Solutions’ managing director and founder, said: “Having Andy on board sends a strong message to the market — as well as our current and future technology partners — that the company means business.

“I have been working on future growth plans for Measurement Solutions for several months, and Andy is a part in enabling these to happen.”

Mr Tagg will work alongside Jason Bridge and David Harper, who have been key members of the Measurement Solutions team for over 10 years.
