Oxfordshire-based ES Precision (
www.esprecision.co.uk), a sub-contract laser marking specialist that was set up in October, has ‘hit the ground running’ in its first quarter of trading.
The ISO 9001-certified company offers a laser processing service to industry sectors including medical, automotive, Formula One, aerospace, electronics and general engineering.
The company has been kept busy running jobs on eight laser workstations at its facility in Kingston Business Park, which is located between Oxford and Swindon.
Managing director Tim Millard said: “Turnover for the first quarter was well ahead of expectations, so we have had a very solid start. We have taken on some part-time staff in addition to our six permanent staff to meet demand.
"As a result, we’ve met delivery expectations 100% so far, which is crucial when a new company is building a reputation.”
The lasers include a 200W CO2 laser that can drill and cut organic materials at very high speed. There is also a lower-power CO2 laser with automatic reel-to-reel label feeding.
The labels are tamper-evident — plus resistant to high temperatures and weather — so they can be used for tracking and traceability, as well as for outdoor use.
Mr Millard added: “We also have UV, fibre and Vanadate lasers with galvo delivery, so that marks can be optimised on virtually all materials — all metals, most plastics as well as coated materials.
“We also have a tool room to fabricate fixtures so that repeat customers are guaranteed consistent results.”
