Manchester-based TP Group plc (www.tpgroup.uk.com), a defence- and energy-focused engineering company, officially opened an Advanced Manufacturing Centre at its Dukenfield facility last month, with an event attended by more than 30 guests.

The new centre houses high-precision machine tools and metrology equipment that will better position the group to deliver engineering solutions in a number of key sectors, including the UK nuclear supply chain, aerospace and defence.

It is part of a £1.5 million investment to refurbish and upgrade the factory environment —and to recruit a new team of operators and technicians.

The investment we have made in this facility is focused on delivering our growth ambitions by adding value in sectors where we are already active, and by gaining access to new markets through world-class capability.”
