Manchester-based EDM Ltd (www.edm.ltd.uk) was named ‘Exporter of the Year’ at the PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards 2018 ceremony last month.

The company, which provides training simulators to the civil aviation, defence and rail industries, was commended for its entrepreneurial and innovative and approach to exporting and being an ambassador for the Northern Powerhouse.

Joe Blackwell of EDM, said: “The awards ceremony has been absolutely fantastic. As a business, we export around 95% of our turnover; we have a lot of business in China, America, South East Asia — and around the world. It’s fantastic to be awarded something like this for our efforts.”
