This year’s MIDEST exhibition will take place next week as part of GLOBAL INDUSTRIe, a new show that is a first for France and aims to “bring together the whole of France and Europe’s industrial ecosystem”.

The event takes place from 27-30 March at Paris Nord Villepinte and has the patronage of the French President Emmanuel Macron.

Announcing the event last November, the French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said: “It will allow the know-how of our French Fab companies to be promoted and to offer them the best possible springboard for their international expansion.”

There are four complementary events that make up GLOBAL INDUSTRIe: MIDEST, SMART INDUSTRIeS, INDUSTRIe, and TOLeXPO.

With GLOBAL INDUSTRIe, oraniser GL Events Group has created France’s largest cross-sector gathering of industry which has the support of industry professionals, regional authorities and trade associations.

Founded almost 50 years ago, MIDEST covers every aspect of sub-contracting know-how and will feature 1,360 exhibitors, of which 40% will be from outside France.

It will include eight focused villages highlighting the shows various sectors, covering both French and international exhibitors, and include examples and demonstrations of technology, the presentation of spectacular or highly technical parts, as well as mini workshops focusing on subcontracting.

SMART INDUSTRIeS will bring together the major players in connected, collaborative and efficient industry.

INDUSTRIe is the flagship show for production technologies and equipment and TOLeXPO covers sheet metal working technology.

GLOBAL INDUSTRIe will attract visitors from 50 industries and has been promoted internationally.

Visitors will be able to pick up a free MIDEST show copy of Machinery Market magazine which will be distributed at the event for the second time.
