King’s Lynn-based Optima Stainless (
www.optimastainless.co.uk) has invested £1 million in new technology to strengthen its position as a leading East of England metal processor.
A new laser cutting machine has been installed, which will yield a 30% increase in production overnight.
Manager Andy Knowles said: “There are only three laser cutters like it working in the UK at the moment.
"We can expect new positions to be created; we foresee the need for additional drivers, warehouse operatives, sales staff and laser operatives.”
The firm is also set for expansion in May, which will include a 15,000ft
2 warehouse.
