Burlescombe-based XYZ Machine Tools (www.xyzmachinetools.com) — represented by its Finnish distributor Makrum — says its stand at the Konepaja — Engineering Works Trade Fair at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre in Finland had visitors “flocking to its stand for demonstrations of the ProtoTrak control system”.

The bi-annual exhibition proved to be a major success for the machine tool industry in Finland, which has not had a focal point for more than 10 years.

Howard Bamforth, XYZ Machine Tools’ export sales director, said: “From the moment the doors opened there were large groups of visitors eager to see our machine and control demonstrations.

Our partnership with the Makrum team is generating good business for XYZ in Finland and is typical of the relationships we have with our distributors around Europe.”

Like most of XYZ’s distributors, Makrum was selected for its ability to provide a complete sales, service and support package forthe machine tools it sells.
