A leading provider of ‘additive-technology solutions’, Stratasys says it is seeking beta customers for a new software designed specifically to improve the “additive-manufacturing solution for the production of jigs, fixtures and other manufacturing tooling”.
This new software — Jigs and Fixtures for GrabCAD Print — has been designed to “both simplify and automate print preparation for rapid tooling applications”.
Stratasys’s (

Companies from the Penske racing team to consumer vacuum machine manufacturer Oreck use FDM to accelerate the production of fit-for-purpose jigs and fixtures to reduce costs while improving cycle time and production flexibility.
"Offered through GrabCAD Print, the software embeds application expertise, automates several complicated and time-consuming processing steps, and eliminates the need for multiple programs within the work-flow.”
With Jigs and Fixtures for GrabCAD Print, Stratasys offers tooling designers and manufacturing engineers a streamlined design-to-part work-flow that is designed to: eliminate the need for extensive design and processing knowledge, thereby opening up jig and fixture CAD design to more users; save time and eliminate unnecessary iteration during the design and processing phase; eliminate the need for formal software training; eliminate the need for third-party software; and simplify work-flow by automating key CAD features used for jig-and-fixture design.
