Turkish tool maker building smart factoryIstanbul-based Turcar (www.turcar.co.tr), a leading Turkish tool maker, has invested in a new ‘state of the art’ Anca MX7 Linear grinding machine.

This has a 38kW permanent-magnet spindle providing high torque at low speeds, making it suitable for carbide grinding and a wide range of other applications.

Turcar’s production manager, Tarık Ozturk, said: “Turkey is experiencing phenomenal growth, with the aerospace, automotive defence and engineering industries booming, and I am happy that we have managed to grow with these markets.”

Turcar is a family business that was founded in 2005. In addition to solid-carbide cutting tools, it offers solid-carbide inserts, cutters and tool-holders.

“We have more than 6,500 products, and being the first Turkish company to offer such a broad product range has shaped our reputation.

"As the leading tool manufacturer in Turkey, we use the latest technology to ensure that we are producing tools of the highest quality.”

The MX7 Linear is a high-productivity system with features that enable it to handle varied batch sizes with minimum set-up time.

Its cylindrical linear-motor drives increase its reliability further, enabling Turcar to set new standards in high-precision cutting tools.

A RoboMate automatic loader helps Turcar to process large orders quickly and efficiently.
