The new recruits and their families were invited along to find out more about the company and meet the colleagues who will guide them through their time at Matsuura.
Long-serving members of staff from each department were on hand to welcome the apprentices and to give them an insight into the company, its products and its customers.
The company is currently experiencing rapid growth in the UK and is investing in its people, facilities and support infrastructures to match its current and projected UK growth.
Managing director Roger Howkins said: “It is a pleasure to welcome these young engineers into our business and to meet their families.
"They are the future of our company — and vital to the wider economy and the UK manufacturing community.
"Each of our successful 2018 intake will receive a full technical apprenticeship and get the chance to work in every department of our operation, achieving the standard of excellence that our customers demand from our highly valued engineering team.”
