A rolling programme of refurbishment and restocking of its UK regional sales facilities presented XYZ Machine Tools Ltd’s
www.xyzmachinetools.com customers with an opportunity to snap up some ex-demo machine tool bargains.
This resulted in total sales worth £2.25 million by the end of the final day of the two-day events that took place in the company’s Waltham Abbey (London), Blackburn and Nuneaton showrooms.
Managing director Nigel Atherton said that the sale of 65 machines at these events was an encouraging sign for the two Open Day events already scheduled for early 2013. The first will take place on 23-24 January at the Sheffield showroom shared with cutting-tool specialist WNT UK Ltd, and the second will be on 20-21 February at XYZ’s main factory and administration centre in Burlescombe.
Demand for the Devon-based company’s CNC/manual and full-CNC machines — now available as standard with either Fanuc or Siemens control systems — is contributing to a third successive record-breaking year.
