Livingston-based Cyberhawk, a leader in drone inspection and visual asset management software, has announced its most successful year yet, as it celebrates a decade in business.
The company achieved a turnover of £4 million for the year to 31 March (a year-on-year increase of 34%) and a profit of just under £700,000. In addition, its US subsidiary — Cyberhawk Inc — has increased turnover three-fold after opening a Houston office in 2016 and increasing customer awareness of the company’s capabilities and experience.
Overseas revenues now account for 35% of Cyberhawk’s turnover, with the first projects completed in the Caribbean and South America.
To date, Cyberhawk (
www.thecyberhawk.com) has completed more than 30,000 flights in over 30 countries, working with major companies in the oil and gas, wind, utilities, infrastructure, thermal-power generation and marine sectors.
Its customers include Exxon Mobil, Conoco Phillips, BP, Shell, SSE, Network Rail, Siemens Gamesa andNational Grid USA.
Highlights in 2017-18 included a world-first inspection at a nuclear plant in the USA, securing accreditation from the American Bureau of Shipping for its internal tank inspection solution and leading the development of UAV guidelines for a number of major industry bodies.
The company also won a three-year framework deal with one of the UK’s largest renewable-energy operators, which added to a growing number of agreements secured with multi-nationals.
