Falmouth-based hydraulics specialist Armada Engineering, which went through a management buy-out late last year, has strengthened its team over the last six months, expanded its range of services and launched a new Web site (
www.armadaglobal.co.uk).
The company has also announced that it has secured official dealership status for leading brands John Deere, Yanmar and Shire.Armada’s customer base includes Pendennis Shipyard, A&P, Rolls Royce, Fugro, LDD, Babcock Marine and BAE Systems.
Taking on the toughest engineering challenges is at the heart of the company’s ethos, as managing director Joff Collins explains: “Over the years, we have been involved in a number of ground-breaking projects, in sectors as diverse as super-yachts, commercial shipping, marine renewables, oil and gas and military vessels.
“The team we have built and the skills they have acquired mean that we now pride ourselves on being able to solve virtually any engineering challenge.
“We designed the hydraulic starting system for the world’s fastest super-yacht, which is owned by the Aga Khan.
“There is huge potential for our business to expand its super-yacht customer base across Europe and further afield. We have really only scratched the surface of what could be achieved.
“The new Web site is just one part of a major new push to get our message out to a global audience.”
The company will be hosting an Open Day on 29 September at its purpose-built facility at Bickland Industrial Estate in Falmouth.
Visitors will be able to get up to speed on the latest developments in hydraulic engineering and see details of Armada’s current projects around the world.
