Deep-water testing facility for TrelleborgSkelmersdale-based Trelleborg Offshore began constructing a 6,780ft2 deep-water testing facility earlier this month.

Located next to the company’s manufacturing site, this will contain two hyperbaric test chambers to simulate extreme deep-water pressure and accurately test its sub-sea and drilling equipment.

This is currently the only way to confirm the reliability of products in deep sub-sea environments.

Managing director John Drury said: “Building this new multi-million-pound testing facility means that we can give our customers peace of mind, while ensuring the quality, performance and efficiency of the product manufactured and delivered to them.
