James Fisher Marine expands in Germany

James Fisher Marine expands in GermanyLondon-based James Fisher Marine Services (JFMS) — a leading provider of integrated marine services — has announced the opening of a new base in Hamburg, as it continues to grow its portfolio and expand internationally.

The German city is one of the largest commercial ports in Europe and will give JFMS access to a number of key locations, while also helping to foster stronger connections with both existing and potential clients in the region; it is also the shore base for most of the major North Sea wind-farm developers.

This decision comes as the next logical step for JFMS, as it continues to experience rapid growth on the back of offshore wind projects around the UK — with the recent acquisitions of King’s Lynn-based Rotos 360 Ltd and EDS HV Group Haslingden strengthening the services that it offers on a turn-key basis.

JFMS (www.james-fisher.com) has a successful track record of delivery to UK wind farms and is confident of further success in Hamburg.

The company offers a full range of construction support and O&M services, top-side and sub-sea BoP services, cable monitoring and repair, diving, UXO, ROV and survey services, together with oil exchange and blade IRM services.

Martin Dronfield, director of strategy and business development, said: “We are the UK’s leading provider of integrated marine services. Our new base in Hamburg represents an important extension of our activities and will be an important hub for offshore wind, which is a strategically important market for us.”
