Additive manufacturing ‘game changer’

Additive manufacturing ‘game changer’XJ3D — the fifth company now owned by the Derbyshire-based Carfulan Group — is the first appointed world-wide partner of Israel-based XJet, whose NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) systems can produce geometrically complex parts by 3-D printing quickly, safely and with high levels of quality (www.carfulan.com).

Carfulan Group director Matt Fulton said: “We’ve followed the evolution of XJet for a number of years and have kept in constant communication with its developers in Israel.

“The Carfulan Group is all about offering innovative, best-in-class manufacturing solutions to the UK market, and NanoParticle Jetting certainly meets that criteria.

“Through our company SYS Systems, a Stratasys UK platinum partner, we have been at the forefront of the 3-D printing movement for more than a decade, so we already have considerable experience in the industry.

“The addition of XJ3D to our group of companies underlines our ambition for continuous growth, and we are extremely excited about demonstrating NPJ’s capabilities as a viable alternative to traditional manufacturing methods.”

Haim Levi, Xjet’s vice-president (manufacturing and defence markets), said: “Carfulan Group’s reputation as a trusted supplier, combined with its team’s considerable knowledge of the local market, make it the perfect partner for XJet to deliver its ground-breaking additive-manufacturing systems to the UK.”
