Downpatrick-based CM Precision Components Ltd — a leading supplier of precision-engineered components for the automotive, materials-handling and aerospace sectors in the UK and Ireland — has officially opened a new 16,000ft² manufacturing facility
at Invest Northern Ireland’s Killough Road Industrial Estate (www.cmprecision.co.uk).

This will enable the company to expand its production capabilities to meet growing demand.

Managing director Kieran Cooper said: “This is a milestone achievement for us, and we are tremendously proud of our new premises.

“We aim to maintain the momentum gained in our target markets in recent years, and we are committed to building on the existing strengths of the business to expand our customer base and achieve further success in export markets.”

Bill Montgomery, Invest NI’s director of advanced manufacturing and engineering, said: “CM Precision’s new factory will support the on-going growth and development of the business in Downpatrick.

Invest NI support has helped CM Precision across a range of areas, including advice on implementing lean-manufacturing principles and processes in the new premises to enhance its bottom line.”
