The Joint Perforating Co Ltd (JPC) has ordered a CNC 80 E TB MR from Schwarze-Robitec (www.schwarze-robitec.com), a German manufacturer of tube and pipe cold-bending machines.

The automotive supplier will use this fully electric machine for exhaust-system components, among other things.

JPC, a subsidiary of the UK-based UKF Group(www.ukf-group.com), specialises in the production of perforated components made directly from tube in a diverse range of materials.

It processes large quantities of material, but it needs to maintain a consistently high level of precision.

The new CNC 80 E TB MR, which is designed for multi-shift operation in the automotive industry, features Quick Tool Unlock — a rapid clamping system (devised by Schwarze-Robitec) that allows the bend formers to be changed swiftly, with almost no tools required.

Schwarze-Robitec has also integrated a vertical height-adjustable pressure die into this multi-stack machine.

This leads to a noticeable improvement in bending results with multi-level bending tools, as the pressure die always travels to the bending level required for each application.

This allows users to better gauge the required bending forces and consistently apply the optimal contact pressure.

The new CNC 80 E TB MR is also equipped with a diagnostic capability that allows the machine to be ‘maintained’ remotely.
