The Highland Council (
www.highland.gov.uk) has given its blessing to Spain-based EDPR’s (
www.edpr.com) plans for an 85-turbine wind farm in the Moray Firth, Scotland.
Members of the planning committee ignored a recommendation from officials to object to the 750MW Moray West project on the grounds of its visual impact.
They decided that the potential economic benefits outweighed other concerns, particularly given the fact that the weather often obscures the view from shore.
However, Scottish ministers have the final say on the Round 3 project.
