Gloucester-based CKF Systems (
www.ckf.co.uk) is celebrating 30 years of providing robotics and automation solutions to manufacturers.
Bob Wheeler, managing director and founder, puts the success of the company down to the development of a talented and enthusiastic team, which has allowed the business to expand and adapt to changing market demands.
The company has also built up partnerships with an array of companies, from small privately-owned operations to multi-nationals; it often works as an extension of their teams, completing many complex high-value installations.
It has also developed a range of conveying and handling equipment to complement its robotics and automation systems, including working cells for packing and palletisation.
The company intends to build on these achievements in readiness for the changes created by the 4th Industrial Revolution (and Brexit).
These will determine the enhanced levels of automation needed for businesses to remain competitive and address potential labour availability issues.
