The next generation of containers for the Dutch Armed Forces is to be supplied by Cambridge-based Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (
www.marshalladg.com).
In a contract worth more than £100 million, the company will provide more than 1,400 container systems over the next five years.
These include command and control shelters, workshops, controlled-atmosphere units and basic stores units, together with a 14-year availability support package.
As part of the design work for this contract, Marshall has come up with a new expandable container that uses lighter materials.
