£5 million investment creates new opportunities Three Lincolnshire-based engineering firms —
all part of the Hexadex Group (www.hexadex.com)— have announced significant investment and expansion plans for 2019.

Eminox Ltd, Hooton Engineering and CWM Automation created nearly 70 jobs and supported 14 apprenticeships in 2018, and they plan to expand further this year.

They are known for their bespoke engineering skills and leading-edge products, and they have a combined workforce of 430 people.

Eminox Ltd, which specialises in control systems designed to reduce harmful emissions, has invested over £4 million in new equipment and staff training.

Managing director Mark Runciman said: “The engineering skills gap is not going away, and it is those in the industry that have to take steps to plug it.

“By investing in our staff and future generations, we can make sure that we train them to meet our high standards in a more efficient way.”

Hooton Engineering, which makes small and medium-size fabrications (mainly in stainless steel), plans to double its growth in 2019 by relocating to a new larger site.

Meanwhile, CWM Automation, which joined the Hexadex Group in October 2018, is looking to relocate to new premises nearly three-times larger than its current site.

The company creates bespoke machinery for leading food producers.
