XYZ Machine Tools (www.xyzmachinetools. com) has appointed a new area sales manager covering Oxford, down along the north of the M4 corridor and across the north-west quadrant of London as far as Milton Keynes.

Ben Warren brings with him extensive knowledge of the precision engineering industry, gained in part from running his own successful sub-contract business.

The move from buying and using machine tools to selling them is one that he is relishing.

He said: “Having been involved with the precision engineering sector since 2001 — including starting and growing my own sub-contract machining business supplying complex machined parts to customers in the UK and Europe in areas such as Formula One, medical and horology — I decided to take a step back in late 2017, sold the business and took ‘time out’ to recharge my batteries.

"When it was time to get back to work and take on new challenges, I saw the advert for this role at XYZ Machine Tools.”

Taking on the position of area sales manager will enable Mr Warren to reignite his involvement with precision engineering and put his 18 years’ experience of solving engineering problems to good use by getting back face
to face with customers.

He added: “The big attraction of joining XYZ Machine Tools was the overall attitude of the company, where you get immediate answers to questions.

"Combined with the extensive machine range, this should allow me to develop the sales area and generate strong revenue streams for the business.”
