“We started the year on the right path, with the 2019 Ram 1500 named North American Truck of the Year and achieving the Triple Crown accolade, confirming it as the best pick-up in its segment.

Moreover, the all-new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty 2500 — built in our Saltillo truck assembly plant — was launched at the North American International Auto Show.”

Meanwhile, Dodge sold 1,836 units, with the Dodge Attitude continuing as the brand’s sales leader, with 1,411 units sold. Currently, Dodge also has the most powerful ‘muscle car’ family in the automotive industry.

In January, it launched the 2019 Dodge Challenger range of four vehicles, which included the 717hp SRT Hellcat Widebody with a V-8 HEMI Supercharged 6.2-litre engine.

The Ram brand sold 1,561 units, while Jeep continued its positive trend with sales of 950 units. Jeep Cherokee sales rose by 57% compared with January 2018, while sales of the Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee increased by 6% and 2% respectively. Fiat sold 873 units, Chrysler sold 48 units, and Alfa Romeo recorded sales of seven units.
