Managing director appointed at Pryme Centre

Managing director appointed at Pryme CentrePryme Group has appointed Terry Larkin to the post of managing director at its recently opened Centre of Excellence in North Tyneside.

With operations around the UK, Pryme Group is a leading provider of integrated manufacturing solutions to clients in the oil and gas, aerospace and defence sectors.

Mr Larkin brings a wealth of expertise in aerospace, automotive and manufacturing; most recently, he was operations director at marine safety specialist 3Si Group.

He left the business late last year, following its sale to Alliance Marine Group (AMG).

Mr Larkin will now assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Pryme Group’s £10 million ‘state of the art’ facility, which was officially opened in November.

He said: “I believe there is huge potential to grow the business by bringing our in-house expertise and capabilities to the wider market across our key target sectors.

"Pryme Group has invested a great deal in this new facility, which clearly demonstrates the intent of the owners to take full advantage of growth opportunities, both now and in the near future.

“We have all the right infrastructure in place to become a Tier One supplier formajor global businesses.

“Supported by the fantastic team we have here in North Tyneside and around the UK, we are looking to engage further with clients to highlight our full range of products and services.”

Pryme Group (www.prymegroup.co.uk) employs around 230 people at locations around the UK, including North Shields, Dundee, Aberdeenshire, Altrincham and Morecambe.

It expects to more than double its workforce in North Tyneside to 150 in the next five years, and it is currently recruiting new personnel, including CNC operators.
