SmartCAMcnc (www.SmartCAMcnc.com) has announced a new software subscription option that cuts acquisition costs for computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software; high acquisition costs are often cited as preventing CNC machine shops from obtaining the CAM software they need.

The company is adding an annual subscription option to its existing ‘perpetual-use licences’ and said: “New annual subscription customers pay no up-front software licence fees, which for much of the CAM industry makes up the
bulk of the start-up costs.”
