New metrology partnership deal Two leading metrology companies have concluded a formal partnership designed to help customers improve their production processes.

The deal will see all bespoke jigs and fixtures for OGP UK (www.ogpuk.com) (part of the Carfulan Group) supplied by Verus Metrology Partners; it will also see OGP UK supply V-FIX — Verus’s modular metrology fixture product — for non-bespoke fixturing solutions.

Verus says that since its inception in 2008, the company’s relationship with OGP UK has been critical to its success in establishing a global customer base.

From its headquarters in Sligo (Ireland) and another laboratory in Nottingham, Verus designs and manufactures metrology fixtures and undertakes sub-contract measurement for clients in medical-device manufacture, consumer goods industries, aerospace and automotive.

The company owns and operates 13 OGP SmartScope machines from the CNC and ZIP ranges, using them to provide full metrology fixture and programme packages and helping customers to accelerate their new product introductions.

Jon Banner, UK operations director for Verus (www.verusmetrology.com), said: “We are delighted that we have signed a partnership agreement with OGP UK for the supply of V-FIX. For both parties, it solidifies the relationship that we have had for a number of years.

"It is yet another vote of confidence in the excellent metrology jig and fixture services we provide.”

Graham Shaw, sales manager at Derbyshire-based OGP UK, said: “We have a passion for working with customers on innovative solutions that will help them to make the best products they possibly can, with maximum efficiency.

“Verus shares many of our values in this regard and that is one of the reasons our work together has been so positive.”
