Derbyshire-based Cullum Detuners Ltd (www.cullum.co.uk) is celebrating the 60th anniversary of becoming a limited company and has appointed Purpose Media to develop its marketing growth strategy.

Founded in London in 1959 to supply specialist acoustics to the building trade but located in Heanor since 1972, Cullum Detuners is now a leading supplier of noise control enclosures, acoustic filtration systems and exhaust systems to the aerospace, energy, marine and nuclear industries.

Over the years, it has expanded by pioneering new engineering solutions, (including the largest test-cell facility in the world for Rolls- Royce in Derby) and establishing specialist facilities for marine systems, nuclear high-
integrity cranes and the industrial gas turbine systems used by the power generation industry.

It also offers a full range of ongoing maintenance, refurbishment and replacement solutions.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the company is planning a number of events and celebrations, starting with the launch of a new brand identity and Web site.

Managing director Mark Jansen said: “As a customer-focused business, we are trusted to deliver engineering solutions from concept to installation, and we have many global contracts.

“Using the word ‘Detuners’ as part of the company name and having separate logos for each sub-division no longer reflected the innovative solutions we provide.

“In appointing Purpose Media to help us with our next stage of growth, we believe we have appointed a partner who can help us to evolve our brand and engage with our customers more effectively.”
