Nottinghamshire-based Merritts, which specialises in moving and storing heavy machinery, recently relocated four Engel injection moulding machines for Polypipe Civils (a leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems).
The six-week project involved machinery decommissioning and export packing in Dubai, followed by delivery, installation and recommissioning in the UK.
Managing director Richard Merritt said (

“I am very proud of the high-quality service delivered to the client by our project managers, health-and-safety team and on-site operatives.”
Established in 1922, Merritts now has a turnover of £6 million and employs a team of 45 people, who work from a fully equipped storage and bonded warehousing facility in Nottingham.
It has a ‘blue chip’ client base of leading manufacturers and supply chain partners in industries that use heavy machinery, including aerospace, defence, automotive, print, plastics and rubber, food production and waste recycling.
