600 Group plc (
www.600group.com), the ‘diversified industrial engineering company’, has launched its new European Technology Centre near Halifax (West Yorkshire).
The group says the new facility “marks a step forward, as it seeks to create a more-flexible platform from which to leverage the strength of its brands and grow the business into diversified niche markets internationally.
Product innovation is central to the group’s strategy, as it seeks to underpin organic growth through a strong focus on product development; this includes launching new machines that add to the higher-end capabilities of the product range.”
This new facility, which will serve as the group’s global headquarters, offers a modern open-plan office environment, along with manufacturing and warehousing space.
It will also serve as the group’s new European Technology Centre with a dedicated product showroom, demonstration facilities and customer training capability.
Paul Dupee, 600 Group executive chairman, said: “This is an exciting development for the business, which reflects our continued strategy of simultaneously de-risking the group as well as creating a strong platform for growth.
“This new facility will help to foster product innovation and enable us to better showcase our capabilities to customers.”
The 600 Group is a distributor, designer and manufacturer of industrial products with three principal areas of activity: machine tools (including small conventional machines for education markets, CNC workshop machines and CNC production machines); precision-engineered components (machine spares and taper roller bearings are distributed to customers globally to help maintain the installed base of group machines); and industrial laser systems.
