Bombardier enhances operations at Biggin HillBombardier has confirmed that it is adding enhanced interior repair and refurbishment activities to its service centre at London’s Biggin Hill Airport, providing customers in the region with extended maintenance and support capabilities.

Austrian-based F/LIST, a global manufacturer of high-end interiors for business aircraft, will partner with Bombardier on the development of the enhanced interior shop.

The enhanced interior shop will have a full spectrum of in-cabin repairs available via the F/LIST world-wide Mobile Repair Team, while adding up to 20 new local jobs over the next few years.

It will feature up to 3,000ft2 of repair and refurbishment capabilities, including cabinet repair and soft-goods refurbishment.

This key partnership also establishes an opportunity for future expansion of interior repair capabilities at the service centre.

Bombardier (www.bombardier.com) has a strong footprint in Europe and continues to grow its customer service and support presence world-wide.

In addition to its Service Centre at Biggin Hill, Bombardier has seven line maintenance stations and 11 ground support vehicles across Europe in addition to a Challenger 300 aircraft that supplements the shipping of parts from Bombardier’s European parts distribution hub in Frankfurt.

Meanwhile, Bombardier has announced that Hong Kong aircraft management company HK Bellawings Jet Ltd has signed a letter of intent for five new Global 7500 business jets (with options for two more), following an initial agreement signed in May last year.

This aircraft’s range of 7,700 nautical miles is the longest in business aviation.

The business jet can connect the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong non-stop to New York, London or Milan; it can also fly non-stop from Singapore to Vancouver.
